Oh dear the Hobyahs are coming? Perhaps you don't know the poem we had drummed into us Australian kids in about Grade 2 that scared the living daylights out of us! Nice drawing. w.
I immediately was taken into a story by these: two couples at a fancy ball hosted by royalty, circa Marie Antoinette's time. They're uncertain as to their proper manners and roles and the two on the left are tentatively consulting each other about the proper way to speak to the other couple on the right. Meanwhile their shadows are telling another story entirely. (Drawing as Rorshach test?)
Inspired by Neil Curtis in his book, 'The Memory Book', my memory paintings catch impressions and moments from my first ten years, in St Andrews, Scotland in the 60's. They are all 12 x 9 cm, mostly pen and watercolour, on Arches HP. They are now published in an 8" x 10" book through Blurb.

I've so enjoyed stopping by. I love your art work and the stories that go along with them are just as wonderful to read!
