This is one of the pieces I made at Forum, where I took a quilting/mixed media class. My theme was the local fruit and vegetable markets where I did some drawings and took photos before the Forum. This is a textile interpretation of the apron of the green grocer pictured in an earlier sketch on this blog.
10 " high, free-standing.
Painted vliesofix (wunder under), fabric, paper and wall-paper scraps, encased wireform, machine embroidery.

Very nice! Must have been great fun in Orange.
This is interesting, looks like it was fun to make.
Thanks for the comment on my blog, I really appreciate the coaching.
I realized the problem when I was all finished!
Hey Alison! Did you do the class with Carol W and Kirry T? Looks great - well done.

Hi Jen, it was with Sandra Meech, from UK
Alison - I have one of her books and she is a real inspiration for my textile work. She has a new book coming out very soon (you probably know that) and I cannot wait to get my hands on it! Is she a great tutor?
