I love that you drew at a party! I love all your sketches, and I love the way you just did the hands playing these bongos. Of course the hands are the only important part in bongo playing. Did you do the colour there or add it in later? And what were these drawings done with?
Hi Jan, thanks for visiting. Just my little travel watercolour box and a .005 Micron pen. Yes, I did the colour as they were playing - I just want to get the feel. It was such fun.
Inspired by Neil Curtis in his book, 'The Memory Book', my memory paintings catch impressions and moments from my first ten years, in St Andrews, Scotland in the 60's. They are all 12 x 9 cm, mostly pen and watercolour, on Arches HP. They are now published in an 8" x 10" book through Blurb.
