This is lovely, Alison.Do you still use your Still Life Box, to study light and shadow? I've thought about making one but mine wouls have to collapse because I live in fairly small space.

Yes, Annie, this still life is set up that way. You could make a collapsible box - fix the edges together with sticky backed velcro strips. Thanks for stopping by.

As a well-known redhead once said, 'Please explain'! Hey, what is a Still Life Box? Is it a way of framing your objects?

Of course I like your use of texture here.

I can't seem to get a direct link, Wendy, but if you look at the 'still life' link on my home page you will see a photo of the set-up box - just a 2 side + bottom, white box to make a corner really.

This is a very nice sketch. I really like the background.

Fantastic sketch Alison, I think my sketching is getting much sketchier, probably because I seem to be always short of time.

Another fabulous Morandi. I still haven't made my light box. How do you avoid tripping over the cord of the light?
