"The milk's boiling over!"

"Oh, who's left the milk to boil over?"

"The MILK!"

"Audrey! The MILK!"

"Wipe it up straight away."

Our family was always boiling over the milk.

Alison,
I have always loved your memory sketches/paintings and can only imagine how wonderful this journal will be when you finish volume 1. Although all of them are wonderful, I loved the "airplane ticket in the book" story - you really always capture the child-like wonder in your brief desciptions.

I love the stories that go with this. My family - or rather me - have a similar problem with stock. I throw a couple of roast chicken carcasses in a pan full of water with some vegetables to make a beautiful stock for soup and then forget about it until the whole house is filled with an evil smell and there are burnt chicken bones welded to the bottom of the pan!

What is it with milk, it has to be the worst thing in the world for boiling over! As always, I love these drawings and tales! I think I would prefer our "milk" problems, to Julie's chicken stock problems :)

Such a great grid which is all inclusive of various milk spillings. I like your style.

What a great collection to make into a book. Photos and drawings like this certainly trigger so many memories for you and for us as well.
