Our first house was next to Bill Roger's farm at Boarhills. Sometimes I crept round to the farmyard and climbed the haystack in the barn. It's a good place to be.

Your detail in this is GREAT! I just love these memory sketches! We had haystacks, too!

Alison, thank you for letting us all sit in the hay loft with you! Sharing your memory journey is a special treat! Even our 10 year old granddaughter enjoys it! Your watercolors bring it all alive with such glorious detail and warmth!

You sure brought back MY memories, I love your drawings and I have to say thanks for the chuckles this morning with the comment you made on my blog about the mermaids!

I like your style. Your paintings are so real, not realistic but just true. Like the viewer is there remembering the scene too. It's a very friendly way to paint. And I linked to you too :D

The perspective is wonderful, looking down and the colors and drawing are just great. What a wonderful place to be a kid.

So impressed with the very idea of the memory sketches, not to mention the execution! These are fine paintings! I started painting my dreams, about a year back, my first attempt at subject matter that wasn't drawn from life. They turned out better than I expected, and now, with the inspiration you have given me here, I intend to explore some of my memories in this way. Thank Youyv
