I went to stay all by myself with Granny and Grandpa in Bridlington. Grandpa showed me how to make his favourite breakfast. Hot, tinned tomatoes on toast ("don't bother with the toaster - new-fangled rubbish, they are") with grated cheese on top - put it under the grill - watch to see it doesn't burn. Scrumptious.

I make it still and always think fondly of him.

Hummm, I may have to try that, of course, No New Fandangled thing would be involved! Love your color choices!

Thanks for letting me know these were up, I would have found them tomorrow when I go through all of my links, but I enjoyed them tonight!

Now you've really inspired me. I always love your memory paintings and want to have a go myself, but strange old recipes passed on down... I think I will be able to do it. Once again a beautifully evocative image and the words are perfect. Thanks.

Wow Alison, those memory painting just amaze and entertain me. As an abused child I have hidden most of my early memories, (good & bad), to a deep and almost unreachable part of my mind. You memories sometimes spark a flicker of good and happy times long, long ago. Thankyou.

Wonderful! I love the little bits of cheese on the table beside the grater. Such great details and color!
