EDM challenge # 74 Draw some clouds and memory book painting

When it was a little less cloudy than usual, my mother liked to note that, "there's just enough blue in the sky to make a cat a pair of trousers."

I think the 'cat' actually referred to sailors, hence the 'need' for some blue.

What a wonderful saying! I have never heard that. If it is okay, I think I will adopt it. My Grands will carry it on. Love the drawing! Each one of these is worth the wait!

This is truely bizarre! I have been having an e-conversation this afternoon with a friend on the Central Coast. We have been exchanging Grandma sayings. One of her contributions was 'enough blue to make a dutchman's trousers'.

That's a cut drawing and Saying too!
Now I can't wait to say it.
I like the way you put patterns in the sky instead of just leaving it plain blue.

this is wonderful - brings back memories when we'd try to figure out shapes from the clouds!!

Oh, somehow I missed this way back in July. I always love your memory paintings, and I love love love this one. You are so cleaver in the way you capture the essence of a memory but without having to illustrate it to death (which is what happens when I try, but I'm not giving up - you are an inspiration!).
